From the Curator: Clinton’s work had stood out to me since I first visited his gallery. The way he renders American cityscapes in a bright, modern style seems to capture the scene’s abstract feeling rather than literal look. Somehow, every painting he does seems to be a place “I think I saw” which gives it both a comforting yet elusive effect. While this bend in the road may be recognizable to some, it still has me thinking: Where else does this exist?
