co·me·di·enne How have so many female comediennes have had such a positive affect on me? Going back to school to get my degree late in life had me feeling doubtful about my intuitions and decisions. At the end of a long day, I didn’t want to read aesthetics, I wanted to laugh! Enter Leslie Knope, a hero in pant suits who is kind, high achieving, and a little nutty. For some reason, I could relate to this character and it felt cosmic and necessary when she entered my life. Though Knope is fictitious, I count her amongst my heroes and I am endlessly grateful to Amy Poehler for creating her!
